Process modelling is often seen as a documentation exercise but its real potential lies in enabling better decisions and generating measurable business value. Especially when simulation comes into play, process models evolve from static diagrams into powerful tools for identifying bottlenecks, testing scenarios, and optimizing performance. Real-world examples will illustrate the difference between modelling for documentation versus modelling for insight. Further, it will be discussed how to move from a model to measurable business impact, especially when optimizing for financial or operational goals. This presentation takes a practical and slightly technical perspective on how process modelling and simulation can contribute to value creation.
